Boho-Chic Wedding in the Val d’Orcia

10 october 2019

She is a charming television journalist and he is a brilliant manager: Jamie and Robb are a splendid couple from Toronto who chose the Val d’Orcia for their wedding in Boho-Chic style on a sunny October day. They exchanged their vows at Terre di Nano surrounded by their closest friends and family during a symbolic ceremony celebrated by his brother.

The original wooden hexagonal arch, created for the ceremony by Flowers Living, framed a powerful and moving moment. Jamie was very beautiful in her form fitting wedding dress finely embroidered in lace enhanced by a bouquet of roses, dahlias, amaranth, pincushions, and protea, with original touches of blue from the thistle flowers.
The palette - burgundy, white, and navy blue - also featured in the boutonniere as well as on the arch and table. After the ceremony, the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a rich aperitif in the garden based on Tuscan specialties: salami, pecorino cheese from Pienza, quiche, and Nobile di Montepulciano wine.
Dinner followed in the olive grove illuminated by candlelight and string lights. The imperial table in wood, decorated with an olive and eucalyptus runner, lanterns, and gold votive candles, was enriched with the intense blue of the menus. Original hand-painted hexagonal tiles were used for place name cards.
The cutting of the cake, a millefeuille decorated with blueberries and flowers, gave way to a fun party with Fabiodex DJ, which went on until the early hours of the morning.
