Black & white Val d’Orcia by Dominique Bollinger

24 march 2015

I have always had a great passion for black & white pictures, and in the last years I fell in love with the works of Dominique Bollinger (www.dominiquebollinger.com), a French photographer who opened his own art gallery in San Quirico d’Orcia in 2010, “Orcia Fine Art Photography”, and began a serie on Val d’Orcia landscapes with a special 8x10” camera.

His works has been published in UK, USA, Australia, Italy and France. Among the permanent collections holding Bollinger’s work are Centre Georges Pompidou and Bibliothèque Nationale, in Paris; the Musée Niepce, in Chalon; the Museo della fotografia, in Caltagirone, and numerous private collections in the United States and Europe.

Until May 1st, 2015 it is possible to visit his new exhibition at "Spazio Sè" - Podere Forte (www.podereforte.it), in the charming village of Rocca d’Orcia: gnarled olive trees, fields and animals, captured in a beautiful play of lights and shadows.
