Aromatic Herbs and White Flowers for a Country Chic Wedding in the Val d’Orcia

27 august 2018

I love every single wedding that I have organized. I have created deep respect, faith and empathy for all of my clients, who often become good friends. And this is the case with Valeria and Stefano, a young couple from Monza who came to me with their dream of organizing their wedding in the Val d’Orcia, a place that they have been in love with for years. For them, it wouldn’t be just a wedding, but a great celebration: the chance to celebrate rebirth after a particularly dark and difficult period, which saw them fight hard together. This lead me to take this event especially to heart, and with great satisfaction upon seeing how everything turned out exactly as they had hoped. A perfect day, told by the beautiful pictures by Silvia Galora.
Valeria, the bride - simple and elegant with lace gown and crown both by French designer Laure de Sagazan and Jimmy Choo sandals - chose a country chic mood featuring aromatic herbs and white flowers.

The choice of the location fell on an old fortress with a spectacular view of the Val d’Orcia. Here, after the civil ceremony celebrated at the City Hall in Pienza, the reception, catered by Roland’s Firenze: started with a long and relaxing aperitif around the pool followed by dinner at a long imperial table as chosen by Valeria and Stefano.
The decorations by Flowers Living, featured beautiful white peonies and buttercups in wooden boxes interspersed with aromatic herbs in terracotta vases and refined glass candleholders down the centre of the table as well as around the menu and the wedding keepsakes that were created especially for the event: little bottles of olive oil from the Val d’Orcia aromatized with rosemary.
The seating plan on wood was a charm, written in calligraphy by Studio Alispi, just as the stationery which continued the green theme with its delicate aromatic herb border.
Even the cake, a semi-naked white cake, was decorated with rosemary and set among candles and pieces of wood. After the cutting of the cake, the party continued around the pool with a rocking DJ set.
