Destination Wedding with Asian Flair in Pienza

27 july 2020

Take a splendid American couple with Chinese and Guyanese roots, bring them to the Val d’Orcia along with an assorted group of amazing guests that come from the four corners of the earth, add some unusual instruments and ancient traditions, and you get a chic and original wedding during which all the ingredients perfectly blend together to give life to a truly unique day.
Lina and Josh’s destination wedding in Pienza started with an enchanting symbolic ceremony celebrated by one of the couple’s best friends. The chosen palette, from the flowers to the bridesmaids’ dresses, featured red in all its shades which, in the Chinese tradition, symbolizes luck and prosperity for the happy couple.

A bountiful aperitif with specialties from the Val d’Orcia, including pecorino cheese from Pienza and charcuterie, was particularly appreciated by family and friends. Each one of them received a special gift, a watercolour portrait by Jenny and Graziano of Shhh My Darling, a fantastic couple who are artists.
A Dhol – traditional drum – played during the most important moments of the day and got everyone on their feet to show off their best moves.
A relaxing dinner in the olive grove at Terre di Nano, illuminated by a thousand lights preceded the cutting of the cake and a long and very lively party with Fabiodex, one of the best DJs in Tuscany.
