Elegant Wedding at the Enchanting Pool of Bagno Vignoni

15 january 2021

Between Romana and Dino lies a very strong bond, a bond between two people who met later in life and decided to take a chance on love. They had to change plans for their wedding, which was supposed to be held in Rome with hundreds of guests, at the last minute because of Covid and chose a more intimate and cozy setting. And so, they headed to the Val d’Orcia, a special place for them as it had been their holiday destination for years.
The result was a truly magical day, also thanks to the splendid location. The civil ceremony took place under the portico, Loggiato di Bagno Vignoni, which looks over the water-filled square, like no other in the world.
Romana arrived here at this unique location already visibly moved and accompanied by her son. The bouquet by Sartoria Floreale, who saw to all the decorations, included white orchids, roses, pampas grass, and dried flowers, the same elements which were also used to decorate the pool.

After the ceremony, a toast was made in the little square of Bagno Vignoni (where a special Fiat 500 served as the Prosecco bar by Slowhills),  then the happy couple and their guests headed to Terre di Nano for the reception.
In the olive grove, there was a long cocktail hour based on typical Tuscan products including a selection of artisan salami and cheese, all served to the tunes of Benny Fadlun and his band.
The doors to dinner opened wide to a magical and rarefied atmosphere with a long imperial table surrounded by round tables, and everything was lit up by candlelight while lush floral centerpieces with touches of gold and silver added to the magic. To finish off the celebrations, the cutting of the cake, a splendid American tier cake created by Sweetie Pie, followed by the first dance and the bouquet toss.
