Boccaccio in Val d'Orcia

16 december 2014

Take a masterpiece of the Italian literature like the Decameron by Boccaccio, add a storyteller like David Riondino - actor, musician and writer - and five exceptional musicians of different formation (violin, accordion, cello, sax and clarinet): the result is the wonderful show "Alatiel and other stories" in which Riondino tells some of the tales of the Decameron… his way! This is one of the appointments of the festival "Musical Tuscan Landscapes” (www.paesaggimusicalitoscani.it) which suggests musical concerts of different kind - from classical to rock music, to Astor Piazzolla - in the most beautiful and well known places of Val d’Orcia.

After the summer edition, with musicians coming from all over the world, the autumn edition will end on 29th of December with the Balkan Music with the Trio Tara at the Little Theatre of Palazzo Chigi in San Quirico d'Orcia.
