Imagine an intimate and colourful birthday dinner among dear friends in a special location that overlooks the rooftops of a magical city. This was the inspiration for our styled photoshoot, an open tribute to the mix & match world of Cabana Magazine.

A 19th century altana or belvedere structure, this secret address for dinners and bespoke events in the centre of Siena houses a cheerful and colourful table, which doesn’t shy away from mixing prints and patterns, uses a bright palette, and plays with one-of-a-kind pieces. We wanted to break from the overused ethereal and glossy-coated stylings to explore new horizons: the result is a Wunderkammer, a very colourful and multi-faceted room of wonders where antique and modern can co-exist. From the English porcelain collectibles to the tablecloth by Lisa Corti, from the chair-sculpture by artist Jono Nussbaum to the antique Vienna straw chairs, from the stationery in calligraphy by Cristina Pi to the Murano glasses, the Chinese vases, the personalized welcome drinks by Opificio 77, and the very colourful floral wedding cake by Sweetie Pie, all contribute to an original and decidedly unique vision.
